Data Engineer, AI & Analytics

Overview

Remote Data Engineer role on the Data Team, building and maintaining the core data foundation (pipelines, modeling, and data marts) that powers agency, client, internal, and AI initiatives.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain ingestion, modeling, and data marts for the core data foundation.
• Build ingestion to handle API changes, deprecated fields, rate limits, and retroactive conversion restatements.
• Model across multiple ad and marketing sources so spend, impressions, conversions, and revenue reconcile.
• Create semantic layers and metric definitions for consistent, correct AI-generated SQL outputs.
• Use AI-agentic workflows (including AI coding tools) to accelerate development of data infrastructure.
• Monitor and resolve data quality issues; optimize pipelines for cost and performance in a multi-client warehouse.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate requirements into data solutions for rapid iteration.

What you'll need

• 3+ years in data or analytics engineering.
• 1+ years owning a dbt project of meaningful size in production.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for production-grade pipeline and modeling code.
• Deep expertise in dbt, including incremental strategies and related features (Jinja/macros, tests, snapshots, freshness, DAG control).
• Strong command of Snowflake and the surrounding cloud data stack to operate autonomously.
• Experience modeling in a multi-tenant environment and knowing when logic belongs in core vs client layers.
• Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure (GCP) and infrastructure-as-code principles; experience using AI-agentic development tools.
