Data Engineer

Overview

Fieldwire is hiring a Data Engineer to own data infrastructure and pipelines for reporting, analytics, and business decision-making.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain automated data pipelines from source systems into a central data lake and warehouses.
• Own end-to-end data architecture, including storage strategy, processing systems, and pipeline orchestration.
• Implement and maintain ETL/ELT workflows to produce clean, analytics-ready datasets.
• Translate reporting requirements into technical data solutions with Data Insights Managers and stakeholders.
• Add automated validation and data quality checks to pipelines.
• Monitor pipeline health in real time and triage/resolve failures to meet data availability SLAs.

What you'll need

• 2-3+ years of experience in Data Engineering (or equivalent role).
• Strong SQL proficiency and at least one scripting language (Python preferred).
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines at scale.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt, Fivetran, or Airbyte.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data lake architecture.
• Experience integrating SaaS platforms via APIs and connectors.
