Data Engineer - DataOps (Position located in Bengaluru, India)

Overview

Data Engineer - DataOps working with business stakeholders to design data pipelines, data models, and analytics solutions, with Snowflake administration and BI (Looker/Tableau) support.

What you'll do

• Translate business requirements into data pipelines and data model transformations for reporting and analytics.
• Research, design, and implement data modeling to solve complex problems.
• Administer Snowflake environments, including virtual warehouses and security protocols such as RBAC and data masking.
• Provision and manage access to Snowflake advanced AI/ML capabilities.
• Automate platform infrastructure and user access using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Administer daily operations for Looker and Tableau, including user permissions and scheduling.
• Troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries and monitor/optimize compute costs (FinOps).

What you'll need

• 3 years experience with BS or equivalent.
• Expertise with programming languages including Python and SQL.
• Solid understanding of data pipelines, data platform, data lake, data warehousing, and analytics.
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience administering Snowflake and enterprise BI platforms.
• Ability to oversee LookML projects to maintain code efficiency and high query performance.
• Experience configuring secure SSO/OAuth connections between BI platforms and Snowflake.

Nice to have

• Relevant industry certifications such as SnowPro Core or Looker/Tableau administration/development.
