Data Engineer I (5–8 Years' Experience Required)

Overview

Data Engineer I role in the Enterprise Data Development team, designing and building data integration and transformation solutions for an enterprise data warehouse using cloud technologies (GCP) to deliver actionable insights.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and support GCP, ETL, and SQL solutions.
• Work in a distributed global team environment.
• Partner with architects, solution managers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver business solutions.
• Analyze processes and user requirements to improve efficiency and generate insights.
• Support existing data warehouses, related jobs, and scheduling tools such as Talend, Tidal, Airflow, and Linux.
• Lead small projects, manage multiple stakeholders, and handle ambiguity and complexity.
• Drive automation, continuous improvement, and adoption of new technologies while sharing technical knowledge.

What you'll need

• 5–8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience in cloud data engineering services, with GCP preferred.
• Expertise in SQL, Python, and data warehousing concepts.
• Good working knowledge of BigQuery, Composer, Cloud Functions, and dbt.
• Experience with cloud storage and data platforms such as S3/Blob Storage.
• Understanding of SAP landscape, data governance tools, and cyber security requirements.
• Basic understanding of data modeling concepts.
