Overview
Data Engineering Manager (DBA) responsible for delivering location-strategy projects and advancing the company’s data and digital platform through database architecture, pipelines, performance, resilience, automation, migrations, and security.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain data architectures, pipelines, and systems for accurate, accessible, secure data.
- Design and implement data warehouse and data lake solutions for volume, velocity, and security requirements.
- Develop processing and analysis algorithms for data complexity and scale.
- Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models.
- Define and drive database architecture strategy across on-prem and OCI, including HA/DR and multi-region designs.
- Lead performance tuning, capacity planning, and scalability improvements.
- Drive automation-first DBA practices using scripting, Terraform, and CI/CD integration.
What you'll need
- Deep expertise in RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and RMAN backup/recovery.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
- OCI cloud expertise, including OCI database services, networking (VCN, DRG, Load Balancers), and IAM/security models.
- Experience designing and managing multi-region and hybrid cloud setups.
- Experience with OCI landing zone design including networking, IAM, and security architecture.
- Hands-on scripting experience with Python and Shell.
- Experience with Terraform/OCI Resource Manager and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins) and Git-based workflows.
