Overview

Data Engineering Professional II role focused on building and maintaining data systems, pipelines, and datasets to support business intelligence and downstream systems.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build new integrations using AWS native technologies.
• Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models for BI tools and dashboards.
• Implement data reconciliation and data quality monitoring to keep production data accurate and available.
• Write unit, integration, and performance test scripts; contribute to engineering documentation.
• Analyze data to troubleshoot data-related issues and support resolution.
• Work with DevOps and Cloud Center of Excellence to deploy data pipeline solutions in Takeda AWS environments.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software, data, data warehouse, data lake, and analytics reporting development.
• Build and fine-tune GenAI-powered solutions using LLMs.
• Integrate retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines with vector stores.
• Experience with data/Big Data, data integration, data modeling, and modern database query languages (Graph, SQL, No-SQL) and AWS cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of DBA, dimensional modeling, and SQL optimization (Aurora is preferred).
• Experience designing and building data integrations using SOAP/REST web services/API plus schema design and dimensional modeling.
