Data Scientist

Overview

Data Scientist role focused on extracting insights from bank data using analytics, machine learning, and GenAI to support strategic decision-making and business value.

What you'll do

• Identify, collect, and extract data from internal and external sources.
• Clean, wrangle, and transform data to prepare it for analysis.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for automated acquisition and processing.
• Design and run statistical and machine learning models to analyze patterns and trends.
• Develop predictive models to forecast outcomes and identify risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to apply data science for business impact.
• Build machine learning/AI solutions for the Corporate Bank using AWS services.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science (or similar) or equivalent commercial experience.
• Experience supporting senior stakeholders across the data science lifecycle to production delivery.
• Ability to translate technical work into business terms and communicate value.
• Commercial experience applying machine learning techniques (e.g., clustering, classification, regression, NLP).
• Ability to write production-standard code with strong coding principles (e.g., separation of concerns, generalization).
• Strong experience with Python and SQL (required).
• Familiarity with AWS data science/AI services, including SageMaker and Bedrock.
• Understanding of GenAI, LLMs, and the RAG framework.
• Proficiency in data visualization software, ideally Tableau (with exposure to QlikView/Power BI or similar).
• Knowledge of code management methodologies to implement on projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with front-end development frameworks such as Angular/React and Flask/Streamlit.
• Experience with MVC architecture.
• Experience of Agentic AI.
• Experience working in a big data environment using PySpark.
