Data Scientist

Overview

Develops AI and ML solutions to business problems with guidance, covering feature selection, model selection, model training, prompting, fine-tuning and designing validation frameworks.

What you'll do

• Develop AI and ML solutions to a business problem with guidance, including feature selection, model selection, model training, prompting and fine-tuning.
• Design appropriate validation frameworks for AI and ML solutions.
• Conduct research using primary data sources and select relevant information to enable analysis of key themes and trends.
• Support and enable others to use and benefit from existing data management systems.
• Meet customer needs related to standard products and services and/or supervise a team of customer advisors.
• Edit documents to fit the organisation's style guidelines and prepare information for publication using established procedures and standards.
• Grow own capabilities by pursuing personal development opportunities and develop direct reports within the existing development framework; provide specialised training or coaching in area of expertise.
• Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures, and use established change management programmes to deliver prescribed outcomes and/or provide support services.
• Provide information and clarification on existing procedures, processes and precedents.
• Follow existing procedures and precedents to determine the correct course of action for routine functional enquiries.
• Review non-compliance issues within current IT Security processes, systems and procedures, and work with guidance to resolve ad hoc problems within the assigned unit or discipline.
• Investigate questions related to existing programmes, processes and procedures.
• Deliver prescribed outcomes for a designated area, using risk management systems to avoid undue organisational risk.
• Deliver prescribed outcomes for area of responsibility within established strategic planning and knowledge management systems.
• Deliver outcomes by managing others and working within established systems.
• Respond to individual and team objectives, improve personal performance by growing own skills and capabilities, and coach others when required.
