Data Scientist (Data Visualisation)

Overview

Data Scientist (Data Visualisation) role with Mastercard’s Economics Institute (MEI), reporting to the team lead for Data Systems Engineering.

What you'll do

• Create clear data visualisations that communicate economic insights to diverse audiences.
• Develop reusable functions and packages to support analysis and automation.
• Create and format analytical content using R Markdown and/or Quarto.
• Write clear, well-documented code that others can understand and maintain.
• Use data visualisations to tell stories.

What you'll need

• 1–3 years experience in creating data visualisations.
• Proficiency in R or Python.
• Proficiency in cleaning, transforming, and aggregating data using code.
• Experience writing SQL and working with relational databases.
• Familiarity with version control concepts and tools for collaborative development.
