Overview
Database Administrator responsible for the performance, availability, security, migration, and cloud modernization of enterprise database and data platform systems.
What you'll do
- Lead administration and optimization of SQL Server and Azure SQL environments.
- Architect high-availability, geo-replication, failover, and HADR solutions.
- Lead migrations from on-premises SQL Server to Azure SQL platforms.
- Perform performance diagnostics, query tuning, and index strategy redesign.
- Implement database security controls and compliance configurations.
- Build IaC deployment pipelines and integrate database deployments into CI/CD workflows.
- Operate Microsoft Fabric workspaces, data platforms, and integration pipelines.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of production database administration and cloud data platform experience.
- Mastery of SQL Server internals, including locking, blocking, memory pressure, tempdb, and execution plans.
- Experience with Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cosmos DB.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform or Bicep and Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
- Experience implementing enterprise security frameworks and audit configurations.
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300).
Details
- Location: Pune.
- Remote work requires broadband internet of at least 50 Mbps and a wired home-network connection.
- Final interviews may require onsite attendance.
