Databricks Architect +Genie - Manager

Overview

Lead Databricks architecture workstreams and design cloud-based data platforms, pipelines and transformation solutions for PwC's Advisory practice, while leading and coaching teams across client delivery.

What you'll do

• Lead Databricks architecture workstreams for data modernization engagements
• Design and build cloud-based data pipelines, integration flows, and transformation layers
• Guide teams in developing data lake and data warehouse solutions that support analytics and reporting
• Manage project scope, timelines, and deliverables across multiple client priorities
• Apply Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow, and Snowflake in solution design and delivery
• Review data architecture, modeling, security, and performance tuning approaches for scalable implementations
• Coach team members on data engineering methods, delivery practices, and technical problem solving
• Identify data quality, validation, and troubleshooting issues across complex data environments
• Translate business needs into data platform strategies and implementation plans

What you'll need

• At least a Bachelor's degree
• At least 9+ years of experience
• Oral and written proficiency in English

Nice to have

• Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Management Information Systems, Computer and Information Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematical Statistics
• Demonstrating Databricks architecture delivery across data modernization programs
• Utilizing Genie, AI, and cloud platforms in client-facing solutions
• Leading project planning, budgeting, execution, and completion activities
• Mentoring teams through feedback, coaching, and performance conversations
• Translating complex data system interactions into delivery decisions
• Applying Agile delivery methods across analytics engineering workstreams
