Decision Analyst

Overview

Decision Analyst role in Barclays' Decision Intelligence team, applying advanced analytics and data science to extract insights from complex data and build decision models that inform business strategy.

What you'll do

• Identify and extract relevant data from various internal and external sources.
• Perform sensitivity analysis and scenario planning.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing models.
• Develop and implement data quality control procedures.
• Build and validate quantitative models to support decision-making across different business areas.
• Present actionable recommendations to stakeholders across departments.
• Take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work you own or contribute to.

What you'll need

• Experience synthesizing business knowledge, market research, and analytics to drive strategic outcomes.
• Understanding of value drivers across products and services, linking customer, operational, and financial levers.
• Experience breaking down complex challenges using frameworks such as MECE, hypothesis-driven approaches, 5 WHYs, 80/20, and decision trees.
• Experience using Python, SQL, Excel, and Tableau to transform data into actionable insights.
• Experience generating insights that drive measurable business outcomes.
• Experience crafting compelling, data-backed narratives for senior stakeholders and delivering executive presentations.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and tracking benefits realization.
