Delivery/Project Manager, AVP

Overview

Drive the delivery of the set up and extension of the Snowflake Platform, steering engineering teams and stakeholders to reach defined increments on time and within budget.

What you'll do

• Drive and improve the sequence of delivery steps, product increments and maturity levels of the engineering teams.
• Track delivery progress with the engineering teams on a regular cadence.
• Provide proactive visibility and effectively communicate delivery targets, commitments and progress.
• Identify bottlenecks and improvement potential in processes, skills and deliverables.
• Remediate and escalate impediments in a concise manner.
• Manage cross-team dependencies with upstream and downstream stakeholders.
• Coordinate change management across environments and teams.
• Maintain a dependency map between deliverables and cross-team delivery interfaces.
• Create transparency in collaboration patterns and activities to derive best practices and increase maturity.
• Maintain an overview of capacities, skills, budgets and on/offboarding activities.
• Maintain and manage the risk and impediments register for management and planning.
• Ensure delivery processes satisfy corporate standards and do not bypass them.
• Coach the team to collaborate effectively within the team and with team-external stakeholders.

What you'll need

• More than 5 years of experience working in a platform and data engineering organization using common Agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, XP).
• More than 3 years of experience as a project manager.
• More than 3 years of experience as an application manager or product owner (accountable for a data integration application).
• More than 3 years of experience in tools like Jira, Confluence etc.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.

Nice to have

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
• More than 2 years of experience in DB IT landscape and processes.
