Devops Engineer

Overview

A DevOps Engineer will focus on assisting in the design, development and maintenance of DevOps pipelines and associated technologies and tooling, gaining practical experience whilst working under the guidance of senior DevOps engineers.

What you'll do

• Monitor and analyse data as directed using budgeting systems and protocols.
• Identify shortcomings in current compliance processes, systems and procedures, and develop ad hoc solutions to immediate problems within the assigned unit and/or discipline.
• Support others so they can use and benefit from the existing communications systems.
• Meet customer needs related to simple products and services while following standardised protocols and/or provide back-office support to a customer advisor team.
• Support and enable others to use and benefit from existing data management systems.
• Develop personal capabilities using existing formal and informal training opportunities, while also coaching others as required.
• Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures, then use established change management programmes to deliver prescribed outcomes and/or provide support services.
• Review non-compliance issues within current IT Security processes, systems, and procedures, and work with guidance to ensure solution of ad hoc problems within the assigned unit/(sub)discipline.
• Help others use and benefit from the existing knowledge management systems.
• Analyse customer needs and define and deliver prescribed products by performing designated development/engineering activities using established systems.
• Respond to individual and team objectives and invest in improving personal performance by growing own skills and capabilities, coaching others when required.
• Investigate questions related to existing programmes, processes and procedures.
