Overview
DevOps Engineer responsible for designing and maintaining CI/CD, deployment, cloud, containerization, automation and incident-management capabilities for enterprise-grade cloud and hosted services.
What you'll do
- Deploy, test and support client/server, web and containerized applications in cloud services such as GCP, AWS and Azure.
- Use open-source technologies and tools, coding and scripting, and automation tools.
- Design CI/CD processes in the context of Jenkins orchestration, including automated build tools.
- Develop and maintain build, deployment and continuous integration systems.
- Configure jobs and pipelines using Jenkins.
- Implement software configuration management, automations, version control and deployment tools.
- Work with Developers, DevOps and Engineering teams in a dynamic environment to promote and implement the DevSecOps program throughout the organization while following information security standards and frameworks.
- Perform end-to-end incident management.
- Restore user services and infrastructure in time-critical situations and troubleshoot technical issues in systems.
- Resolve crisis situations and guide the team to quick resolution.
- Escalate and communicate the status of major incidents and problems in a timely fashion to IT and business stakeholders, including executive management.
- Continuously raise the bar on customer service delivery.
- Understand enterprise product development and technical environments such as J2EE, SQL databases, networking and load balancers.
- Create and maintain complete and accurate documentation for operational audits, including security and compliance.
What you'll need
- 5 to 7 years of experience in deploying, testing and supporting client/server, web and containerized applications in cloud services such as GCP, AWS and Azure.
- Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools.
- Ability to code and script.
- Strong understanding of automation tools.
- Commanding knowledge of Linux.
- Expertise in at least one scripting language: Python, Perl or Shell.
- Experience with continuous integration using Jenkins.
- Experience working in a Scrum team.
- Knowledge of cloud virtualization and resource management using automation tools.
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Working knowledge and experience with cloud offerings including compute, auto-scaling, load balancing, object storage, managed databases, distributed Big Data offerings, monitoring, networking, IAM and security.
- Hands-on experience with current containerization techniques such as Kubernetes, Docker and OpenShift.
- A good team player with a high level of personal commitment and a “can do” attitude.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with ISO 27000 series, DSS and CSA audit practices.
Details
- Hybrid position with regular job responsibilities performed virtually and in person at an assigned TU office location.
- Requires in-person work at the assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
- Location: Bengaluru.
