DevOps Technical Lead

Overview

A DevOps Technical Lead role within Thales's Payment Services (PAY) business line, building and automating cloud-based software solutions for the banking ecosystem.

What you'll do

• Implement requested features based on Jira user stories.
• Write automation unit, integration and E2E tests.
• Ensure development complies with security standards (PCI) and privacy standards (GDPR).
• Participate in the code review process as requestor and reviewer.
• Participate in validation campaigns and final packaging of the project.
• Contribute to updating technical and functional documentation.
• Work closely with developers, validators and integrators, and communicate with product management and technical support.
• Show a growth mindset and support the growth of others.
• Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, testing and deployment.
• Integrate various DevOps tools into the pipelines.
• Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track system health, performance and security.
• Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS or GCP.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• 5-8 years of experience implementing, validating and automating client/server based applications.
• Hands-on experience with backend server components, working with NodeJS, TypeScript and ExpressJS.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
• Experience with AWS cloud services: IAM, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, AWS EKS, AWS VPC, AWS S3, Amazon API Gateway, Amazon RDS, CloudWatch and CloudFormation.
• Experience with database servers (MongoDB, MySQL, DynamoDB).

Nice to have

• Experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
