Digital Technology Experienced Professional - Quality Assurance Engineering

Overview

Quality Assurance Engineer on Baker Hughes' Digital Solutions software engineering team, testing features of intelligent, connected technologies used to monitor and control energy extraction assets.

What you'll do

• Test features to ensure functionality and quality.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure testing processes are thorough and to identify improvements and enhancements.
• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies such as Lean/Agile/XP, CI, software product security, scalability, documentation practices, refactoring and testing techniques.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and guidance in quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for software projects.
• Understand, debug and contribute to the code base, diagnose bugs and formulate solutions to improve product quality.
• Develop and execute maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional and regression test cases.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with minimum 1 year of experience.
• Ability to write Java code for testing solution code (e.g., white-box testing).
• Experience testing web services (SOAP/REST; throughput, performance under load, etc.).
• Extensive experience in test automation and working in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
• Experience with issue-tracking and agile project management systems such as Jira, GreenHopper, Confluence, Rally, etc.
