Director, AI/ML Engineering

Overview

Lead delivery of AI/ML-driven applications and platforms, including Java/Python-based systems with user interfaces, cloud-native deployments, machine learning platforms, and Generative AI solutions. Own end-to-end delivery with emphasis on execution discipline, scalability, reliability, and production support.

What you'll do

• Manage and mentor resources to meet chapter KPIs and upskill associates.
• Mentor software engineers and ensure high stability and avoid SME gaps.
• Help and drive discussions to build the technology roadmap for the chapter.
• Work with product management on refining and implementing the roadmap.
• Lead teams delivering AI/ML and Generative AI solutions integrated with enterprise applications.
• Drive end-to-end ownership of design, build, deployment, and production support.
• Ensure high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions aligned to business goals.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define roadmaps and execute effectively.
• Establish and enforce strong engineering and operational standards.
• Own technology lifecycle management, including remediation and ensuring ongoing platform stability.
• Drive AI/ML initiatives by aligning with engineering goals.
• Work with Data Scientists and AI/ML Architects in driving solutions.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 15+ years of engineering experience including people management.
• Strong experience delivering AI/ML and Generative AI solutions is a MUST requirement.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Python, and Spring Boot-based application development.
• Experience building and deploying applications on AWS, including EKS/Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS SageMaker and managing ML platforms and model lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of modern architecture patterns, APIs, and UI-driven applications.
• Experience leading teams in structured or hybrid delivery models is a MUST requirement.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to operate in a matrixed organization.
