Overview
Lead the strategic evolution of Fidelity's Digital Vault platform as a Director, Architecture and Individual Contributor. Define future-ready, scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions for secure document exchange, storage, extraction, classification, management, integrations, and auditable document interactions.
What you'll do
- Develop a deep understanding of the Digital Vault ecosystem, current architecture, product roadmap, and future capability needs.
- Partner with business, product, architecture, and engineering teams to assess current-state capabilities and define future-state solutions.
- Drive modernization initiatives by defining architecture, recommending new capabilities, and increasing enterprise adoption of the platform.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, AI specialists, and technology leaders to enable scalable, automated onboarding and intelligent document-processing solutions.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, governance practices, security requirements, and technology best practices.
- Influence technology strategy, planning, and investment decisions by providing actionable insights and communicating with business and technical stakeholders.
- Foster alignment across teams, build consensus on architectural decisions, and support successful execution of the product roadmap.
What you'll need
- Deep expertise in architecting and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications.
- Strong experience in Cloud, APIs, Data, and AI.
- Deep expertise in document and data analysis, AI-driven extraction and classification, enterprise integrations, and secure document management.
- Extensive experience in Cloud, API, and AI/ML.
- API and integration architecture experience covering REST APIs, API-first design, API governance, microservices, event-driven architecture, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Cloud architecture experience covering AWS-native services, cloud modernization, scalability, resiliency, HA/DR, networking, and hybrid-cloud architectures.
- Intelligent document processing experience covering OCR, document classification, data extraction, Azure AI/Document Intelligence, and GenAI-enabled document processing solutions.
- Enterprise document management architecture experience covering document lifecycle management, metadata models, taxonomy, records management, retention, governance, and content services architecture.
- Workflow and process automation experience covering workflow orchestration, business process automation, case management, straight-through processing (STP), and task management integrations.
- Enterprise platform engineering experience covering platform design, service-oriented architecture, reusable platform services, observability, capacity planning, and operational excellence.
- Security and information protection experience covering RBAC, authentication, authorization, API security, encryption, identity integration (Entra ID/OAuth/OIDC), and secure document handling.
- Data and information architecture experience covering metadata strategy, information modeling, data governance, data lineage, retention, archival, and search optimization.
- DevSecOps and delivery engineering experience covering CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Azure DevOps/GitHub, automated testing, release management, and platform reliability practices.
- Compliance and governance architecture experience covering auditability, regulatory compliance, records governance, risk management, legal hold, privacy controls, and architecture standards.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage senior leaders, driving alignment and strategic decision-making.
- Ability to operate independently within a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and navigate organizational complexity.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of bridging business and technology stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and drive effective resolutions to complex issues.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, leveraging cross-functional teams and organizational partnerships to deliver results.
- Effective presentation and communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to business and technical audiences.
- Experience collaborating across Enterprise, Solution, and Application Architecture teams to develop scalable, reusable, and enterprise-aligned solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or any other discipline.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of the financial services and investment management industry.
- Azure or AWS certification.
- Certification in TOGAF or another Architecture framework.
- Participation in internal programs such as Architecture Readiness or CAFÉ.
