Director of Engineering - DTC Platform Engineering

Overview

Director of Engineering responsible for shared DTC platform engineering, including cloud foundations, integration capabilities, quality and performance engineering services, and developer tooling.

What you'll do

• Lead a cross-functional platform organization spanning DevOps & CI/CD, Application Security, Test Automation, Enterprise Integrations, Performance Engineering, and Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure.
• Define observability standards, SLO enablement, resilience requirements, and production-readiness controls with SRE & Operations.
• Build and execute platform engineering strategy and a multi-year roadmap across cloud infrastructure, developer experience, quality engineering, and integrations.
• Govern CI/CD delivery practices including branching strategies, environment topology, deployment runbooks, GitOps workflows, and progressive delivery.
• Set performance and quality standards, including load/performance governance (Core Web Vitals) and shared test automation frameworks.
• Own security engineering strategy for cloud infrastructure, platform services, and software delivery pipelines.
• Partner internally to drive adoption of platform capabilities for DTC product engineering organizations.

What you'll need

• 15+ years of engineering experience.
• At least 5 years in a senior engineering leadership role owning platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering organizations.
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines at scale (e.g., GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, ArgoCD, Spinnaker, or equivalent).
• Cloud-native infrastructure experience including Kubernetes, IAM, VPC, and monitoring & observability tooling.
• Kubernetes platform engineering experience including cluster operations, Helm, service mesh, and workload autoscaling.
• Test automation leadership experience defining quality engineering strategy and shared frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, RestAssured, k6).
• Infrastructure-as-code proficiency (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi) and GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD or Flux).
