Director, Software Engineering

Overview

Director of Software Engineering to lead engineering teams delivering secure, reliable, and scalable payment-network capabilities.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop multiple engineering teams, including managers and senior technical leaders.
• Set engineering direction across architecture standards, resiliency, security, and operational objectives.
• Own delivery outcomes across a portfolio of services, balancing commitments, investment, risk, and capacity.
• Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Operations, Security, and dependent programs to resolve priorities and delivery risks.
• Establish standards for quality, automation, release readiness, reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Communicate portfolio status, risks, trade-offs, and decisions to senior leadership.

What you'll need

• Experience leading managers and multiple software engineering teams.
• Experience with large-scale, highly available platforms and modern software engineering practices.
• Working knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, cloud-native delivery, CI/CD, and observability.
• Ability to translate business strategy into executable engineering plans and organizational priorities.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science/IT/engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
