Director - Technical Consulting ( Salesforce Financial Services Cloud )

Overview

Lead Salesforce technical consulting for the Industries Architects' practice in Salesforce's Global Delivery Centre, planning capacity and mentoring architects while leading enterprise architecture engagements for clients.

What you'll do

• Plan capacity, hire, train and mentor Technical Architects, and guide their CTA journey and upskilling across modern AI platforms.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technologies and Enterprise AI Architecture.
• Identify and lead internal critical initiatives to grow the Industries Architects' consulting practice, including driving the evolution of an AI-First Delivery & Engineering methodology.
• Work with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects and clients to architect technology solutions to meet client needs.
• Lead Enterprise Architecture and Governance for an enterprise-level customer engagement, including conversations with the client's Enterprise Architects and business stakeholders, integrating scalable predictive/generative AI environments and establishing a program architectural roadmap.
• Lead functional and technical workshops and demonstrate leadership in designing, delivering, testing and deploying.
• Lead a project team of developers on Salesforce Industries Clouds, ensuring teams use developer assistants (e.g., Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate delivery and enforce platform security.
• Ensure team success and the highest CSAT and business outcomes, including Performance Evaluation & ROI by establishing evaluation frameworks with customers that measure AI performance and business value.
• Manage customer expectations and negotiate solutions to complex problems with the customer and third-party stakeholders.
• Establish trust with customer leadership, promoting and/or implementing best practices with SFI and Salesforce.
• Highlight and manage risk areas in the solution proactively and see issues through to completion.

What you'll need

• 18+ years of experience leading Salesforce technical consulting projects.
• Strong application design skills combined with strong data, integration and security architecture skills.
• Expertise in one or multiple of Salesforce Industries Cloud, Sales/Service/Experience Cloud, and Vlocity OmniStudio, with familiarity with Agentforce.
• Expertise in one or multiple domains of Financial Services, Health & Life Sciences, Manufacturing and Automotive, Retail and Consumer Goods, etc.
• Must have: Integration Architecture.
• Must have: Platform Security, including Identity and Access Management / Integration Security.
• Must have: Sharing and Visibility.
• Must have: Data Architecture and Management.
• Architectural Design Patterns.
• Must have: Apex Design Patterns.
• Salesforce/Apex, Triggers, Lightning Flows, Lightning, LWC, and experience with modern web and mobile technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Web Components, others).
• Proficiency in English.

• CTA Salesforce Certifications (Admin, Developer, Sales and Service Clouds, System and Application Architect).
• OmniStudio Developer/Consultant certification.
• Thorough individual able to rapidly learn new concepts, business models and technologies, including hands-on delivery patterns for generative AI and agentic frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to develop materials appropriate for the audience.
