Overview
Distributed Systems Engineer for Netflix’s Enterprise Workflow Platform (CBP Engineering), focused on designing, building, and operating scalable, highly available distributed systems for studio content workflows.
What you'll do
- Build and operate robust, scalable, highly available infrastructure with emphasis on developer experience, observability, and operational excellence.
- Architect, build, and operate distributed systems for high availability, fault tolerance, and performance.
- Work independently and partner with engineers, product managers, and TPMs across organizations.
- Drive engineering best practices and contribute to high-quality code.
- Assist with others’ career development by mentoring and building technical communities.
- Participate in on-call rotation and lead incident reviews.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience crafting complex distributed systems.
- Recent proficient experience with Java, C#, or other OO programming languages.
- Solid understanding of OO design principles, concurrency, multi-threading, performance tuning, and observability.
- Proven track record in architecting, building, and operating distributed systems with high availability and fault tolerance.
- Experience setting technical directions, making architectural decisions, and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Ability to describe complex technical concepts to stakeholders via written and/or verbal communication.
