Distribution Engineer

Overview

Distribution Engineer role with Leidos in Pune, focused on electric utility design engineering and delivering high-quality distribution design packages.

What you'll do

• Perform design engineering for electric utility customers.
• Develop work packages for OH, UG, URD, Make Ready, and Street Light projects using customer GIS/WMS tools.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget for assigned work.
• Design and apply tools including Pole Foreman, O-Calc, SOCKET, Spida-Calc, and AUD.
• Review engineering design packages with clients.
• Perform planning, customer follow-up, and scope analysis while maintaining schedule adherence.
• Coordinate conflicting utilities and support work permit development, easements, and ROW applications.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial preferred).
• Demonstrated proficiency with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) or California GO95.
• Knowledge of structural analysis, guying calcs, cable pulling calcs, protective device coordination, and electric demand/fault current calculations.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD or AUD design.
