Application Engineer- Fire & Security

Overview

Application Engineer (Fire & Security) designing fire and security systems and delivering engineered solutions to meet customer technical specifications, within schedule and budget.

What you'll do

• Design fire alarm, access control, intruder alarm, and CCTV systems per account standards.
• Work independently using established engineering standards and practices.
• Interface with customers to execute projects within agreed schedule and budget.
• Perform hardware detail design, engineering, and application development tasks.
• Carry out battery and voltage drop calculations and develop templates/typical designs for complex systems.
• Read and interpret control narratives, logic diagrams, and related system documentation; manage risks and change control.
• Ensure engineered solutions meet functionality, standards, quality, and supporting documentation requirements, including quality checks.

What you'll need

• 3-8 years of experience in fire and security system design.
• Strong domain knowledge of fire and security system engineering.
• Global customer-facing experience.
• Diploma/BE in Electrical or Electronics.
• Mandatory fire code and security domain knowledge.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Good communication skills.
