Field Service engineer

Overview

Field Service engineer responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting ELV and security systems for clients.

What you'll do

• Install, commission, test, and maintain Access Control, CCTV, Fire Alarm (FAS), and BMS systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in security and automation systems.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per service schedules.
• Configure and troubleshoot servers, workstations, and system software related to security platforms.
• Monitor system performance to help ensure maximum uptime for client installations.
• Coordinate with customers to understand service needs and provide timely resolutions.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation.

What you'll need

• 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience with Access Control, FAS, CCTV, servers, and BMS.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation/Computer Science or related field.
• Good knowledge of networking concepts including IP addressing, switches, and routers.
• Experience integrating and troubleshooting security/platform systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and system layouts.
• Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as required.

Nice to have

• Preferred certifications for Access Control, CCTV/VMS, Fire Alarm, BMS, and CCNA/networking.
