Divisional Risk and Control Analyst, AS

Overview

Divisional Risk and Control Analyst in the Group Chief Operating Office Divisional Control Office, working in a new Control Testing Unit to perform independent control testing and report results.

What you'll do

• Execute independent control testing (design and operating effectiveness) in line with the Control Testing methodology and minimum standards.
• Identify and validate control deficiencies and related risks; escalate issues and exceptions where required.
• Produce clear, high-quality workpapers and management reports evidencing testing results and findings.
• Prepare materials for and support Risk and Control governance forums, including progress, results and key issues.
• Help shape and deliver the annual testing plan, drive plan governance and resolve scoping conflicts with the DCO and stakeholders.
• Challenge constructively and facilitate resolution of disagreements, including scoping and evidence gaps.
• Coordinate effectively with control owners and other stakeholders.

• Good knowledge of auditing controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively in conflict situations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize workload.
• Strong analytical skills and a structured thought process with the ability to clearly articulate control deficiencies and related risks.
• Flexible, proactive and innovative mindset with strong organizational skills to take ownership of agreed targets and meet them within budget.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimise workflows, applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
