Overview
Join the engineering team as a Junior .NET Full Stack Developer to design, build, test, and maintain modern web applications and microservices that power global financial platforms. The role is tailored for early-career developers or recent graduates and includes mentorship, structured training, and hands-on exposure to enterprise-scale financial technology systems.
What you'll do
- Develop, debug, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using C# and .NET Core / .NET 6+.
- Assist in developing responsive, user-friendly UI components using Angular or React, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Write efficient SQL queries and stored procedures, and interact with databases using SQL Server.
- Integrate application components with messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka and third-party APIs under the mentorship of senior team members.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests using frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, Jest, or Jasmine.
- Participate in peer code reviews to receive constructive feedback, learn enterprise coding standards, and improve code maintainability.
- Identify, triage, and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks in existing applications.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint retrospectives.
- Utilize Git following standard branching strategies such as pull request reviews.
- Learn and interact with CI/CD build and deployment pipelines, containerization using Docker, and automated testing tools.
- Leverage modern AI developer productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot responsibly and effectively to accelerate learning and coding velocity.
- Explore new frameworks, design patterns, and engineering best practices through internal training pathways.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience / coding bootcamp graduation.
- 2+ years of relevant software development experience, including internships, academic projects, or professional entry-level roles.
- Strong foundational knowledge of C#, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, and basic web API development in .NET / .NET Core.
- Working knowledge of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including basic indexing.
- Hands-on understanding of web fundamentals including HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Familiarity with a modern frontend framework: Angular or React.
- Understanding of RESTful architecture, HTTP status codes, and data formats including JSON and XML.
- Basic proficiency with Git, including clone, branch, commit, push, merge, and pull requests.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude, logical reasoning, and attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to ask clarifying questions and communicate technical progress.
- High curiosity, eagerness to learn enterprise systems, and receptiveness to mentorship and technical feedback.
- Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional and culturally diverse global team.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with messaging systems or event-driven concepts such as Apache Kafka and MSMQ.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Basic understanding of containerization concepts using Docker and cloud platforms.
- Experience using developer AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and prompt techniques for development and testing.
