Duty Engineer

Overview

Duty Engineer role at JLL, on-site in Navi Mumbai, managing engineering and operational procedures for an Accenture facility.

What you'll do

• Coordinate with Chief Engineer on CAPEX and OPEX budget planning for engineering and operational expenses.
• Manage and control all critical spares for installations per manufacturer recommendation and inventory.
• Coordinate with Chief Engineer to have all M&E related contracts in place.
• Carry out all engineering and operational procedures.
• Liaise with local authorities (M&E related) for facility issues and statutory compliances.
• Liaise with vendors for maintenance and service practices of M&E contractors in line with manufacturer recommendations.
• Ensure proper functioning of electrical systems, HVAC, PACs, water, plumbing and sanitary systems, elevators/lifts and cafeteria equipment.
• Ensure maintenance schedules and shutdowns are followed in consultation with OEM and Accenture.
• Inspect log books, history cards, checklists, escalation charts, OCP and PPM schedules daily.
• Ensure 100% uptime and set up practices to deliver seamless service to Accenture.
• Update and maintain statutory documents (CIEG, Fire, Lift, Explosive, Pollution Control, etc.) related to M&E operations.
• Initiate an energy management program to reduce utility costs.
• Handle small renovation projects from initiation to completion, if needed.
• Guide technical staff on closure of workplace technical issues.
• Adhere to the 52-week annual M&E maintenance schedule.
• Maintain agreed SLA and KPI consistency with the client.
• Coordinate with the transition team during go-live of new facilities.
• Participate in emergency evacuation procedures and manage health and safety issues.
• Prepare and collate vendor performance data and escalate as required.
• Track usage of the e-fit facility tool (IMT, VMT, Sites Ops modules, Site Inspection Tool) and PM work orders in the 360 facility tool and QMS monthly.
• Ensure 100% adherence to the M&E onboarding process and back-to-basics checks conducted by DE.
• Hold monthly meetings with the builder and track minutes of meeting by updating status.
• Ensure all mandatory trainings are conducted on schedule and conduct onboarding training for new joiners.
• Monitor individual DE core responsibilities and assist CE on performance evaluation.
• Coordinate execution of IC requests without escalations.
• Prepare the DE shift roster and review M&E and BMS shift schedules.
• Conduct facility walkarounds and ensure the walkaround map and guide are followed and maintained.
• Assist Facility Manager in ISO, internal, external and client audits, ensuring documentation is complete.
• Coordinate with DM team on issues needing help.
• Coordinate important and VIP client visits with the Events team without escalations.
• Conduct scheduled meetings and focus meets with projects per calendar.
• Participate in and manage the half-yearly fire drill.
• Maintain all relevant checklists as required.
• Manage site operations in the absence of CE and assist WM/CE in crisis situations and BCP.
• Prepare and send daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly engineering records to the Chief Engineer, and maintain logbooks, history cards, equipment details, service and incident reports daily.
• Prepare daily (DSR, walkaround guide, SLA and engineering reports), weekly, monthly (including MMR, central store SIH, energy, IIEE, equipment status, LCD projector and statutory compliance reports) and yearly reports, including assisting CE with R&M and utility projections.
• Follow the escalation matrix during incidents.
