Overview
Contractual EHS/Safety Engineer for IBMS projects (CCTV, Access Control Systems, BMS, and ELV) in Chennai, responsible for EHS compliance and site safety management.
What you'll do
- Ensure compliance with company EHS policies, client safety requirements, and statutory regulations.
- Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments for IBMS and ELV project activities.
- Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), and toolbox talks.
- Monitor work permits and adherence to safe work practices for electrical, work-at-height, and installation activities.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate safety inductions and awareness sessions for site personnel and subcontractors.
- Maintain safety records, reports, compliance documents, and audit findings.
What you'll need
- 3-8 years of experience in safety management for construction, MEP, ELV, IBMS, or electrical projects.
- Experience handling safety requirements for CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, BMS, and related ELV installations.
- Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety, Fire & Safety, or equivalent certification.
- Familiarity with client safety standards and statutory compliance requirements.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or other recognized safety certifications will be preferred.
