Engineer, Data Development (SSIS, SQL)

Overview

Engineer, Data Development responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing Business Intelligence solutions using SQL Server and related BI/data engineering technologies.

What you'll do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Business Intelligence solutions, including database systems and data warehouses.
• Use SQL Server 2017 and Microsoft Integration Services, Analysis Services, and Reporting Services (as appropriate).
• Produce and run unit tests to ensure high quality changes.
• Problem solve and debug complex Business Intelligence systems to enable defect analysis and fixing.
• Collaborate across the organization as a technical expert for Business Intelligence solutions.
• Mentor and train junior data engineers on BI and data warehouse best practices and standards.

What you'll need

• At least 5 years’ experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or a data related field.
• Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, SQL Server, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Advanced familiarity with BI technologies such as SSAS and SSRS.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Advanced experience using automated testing (e.g., SQL Server database unit testing, Specflow).
• Experience with writing unit tests and using build systems with database systems.
• Degree-level education (or higher) in a relevant discipline (preferred).

• Hybrid role with regular virtual work and in-person work at an assigned office location for a minimum of two days a week.
