Engineer-Design

Overview

Engineer-Design responsible for end-to-end product engineering support for remanufactured engine arrangements and components, from design and validation through production release.

What you'll do

• Support reman engine NPI programs and lead program execution activities.
• Configure BOMs, complete VDRA, validate virtual builds, and resolve build-related issues.
• Evaluate and drive Engineering Change Requests through corrective action and print release.
• Assess OE design changes for technical feasibility, quality, manufacturability, and reman impact.
• Make remanufacture and reuse decisions for engine components while identifying recovery opportunities.
• Apply remanufacturing and salvage techniques to restore component functionality and reliability.
• Collaborate with international process partners and cross-functional teams on design reviews and engineering decisions.

What you'll need

• 10–15 years of experience in product engineering, design engineering, remanufacturing, and salvage technologies.
• Degree in an accredited engineering or materials science curriculum.
• Strong expertise in product development, engineering change management, and component recovery processes.
• Strong working knowledge of Creo for 3D design, modeling, detailing, and drawing creation.
• Knowledge of Caterpillar engineering standards, design guidelines, and industry specifications.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• On-site work from the office five days per week.
