Secondary Design Engineer - Power Quality Solutions

Overview

Secondary Design Engineer for Power Quality Solutions overseeing full-cycle electrical engineering for PQS electrical engineering projects, including control, protection systems, and auxiliary electrical design.

What you'll do

• Coordinate and lead multiple/complex projects while meeting Quality, OTD, Efficiency, and Budget KPI targets.
• Design and execute projects per customer specifications and global standards (IEC, ANSI, IEEE).
• Review and approve scope, budget, and schedule, ensuring quality deliverables.
• Conduct risk and opportunity assessments and ensure implementation of resulting actions.
• Create work plans and cost estimates for one’s area of responsibility.
• Ensure safety standards adherence and mitigate potential risks.
• Interact with customers, officials, contractors, and attend project meetings to present engineering aspects.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 10–14 years of experience in substation secondary/EPC design or project execution or HVDC control & protection hardware design.
• Experience in control and protection cubicle design.
• Secondary engineering and EPC execution experience.
• Knowledge/experience in electrical grid industry (switchyard equipment) and substation/FACTS project experience.
• Experience using E3 design tool or similar design tools and cable engineering experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and spoken & written English.
