Engineer, Firmware Engineering

Overview

Engineer, Firmware Engineering focused on designing, developing, testing, integrating, and maintaining firmware for eHDD across hardware and software platforms.

What you'll do

• Design and develop quality firmware for eHDD using best practices such as unit tests and CI.
• Design and implement data structures, software algorithms, and data paths.
• Develop drivers for hardware cores using C++ and Python.
• Test, integrate, and maintain firmware using latest standards.
• Deliver storage products supporting SAS, SATA, and PCIe interfaces.
• Collaborate on solutions across servers, RAID, and operating systems including Windows and Linux.
• Create design documents across firmware development phases.

What you'll need

• Good command of English communication.
• Data analytics skillset such as machine learning.
• Knowledge of C/C++, object-oriented programming, Python, data structures, and algorithms.
• Ability to quickly learn new firmware, hardware, systems, tools, and methodologies.
• Strong project and task management to meet deadlines and commitments.
• Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering or equivalent required.
• High problem-solving skills and solutions-oriented, positive attitude.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with micro-controller architecture (ARM or ARC) and embedded systems/RTOS.
• Knowledge of SAS, SATA and PCIe interface.
• Experience using bus analyzers, emulators, and firmware debugging tools.
