Overview
Firmware Developer focused on designing, updating, and programming firmware components for server and BMC-related subsystems, and leading complex software/firmware projects.
What you'll do
- Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for firmware portions and subsystems (including DSP, embedded code, CHIF, I2C, SPI drivers, BMC applications, and BIOS/UEFI).
- Lead multiple project teams across design and development stages (solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration).
- Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced development partners for software systems design and development.
- Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards.
- Provide domain-specific expertise and software systems leadership across cross-organization programs and activities.
- Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into software systems design organization projects.
- Mentor and guide less-experienced staff members.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically 10+ years of experience.
- Strong programming experience in C and C++.
- Strong server manageability domain knowledge and server industry understanding.
- Experience with RTOS (Green hills Integrity) and Embedded Linux.
- Experience with ARM processors or similar system controllers.
- Experience with firmware design tools/languages and overall software systems architecture.
