Engineer II MW Engineer - Camunda BPM

Overview

The Engineer II, Middleware Engineer will manage and optimize a self-managed Camunda 8 BPM platform supporting workflow automation, process orchestration, and decision management.

What you'll do

• Deploy and configure the Camunda 8 stack on Amazon EKS using Helm charts.
• Design multi-environment Zeebe cluster topology and sizing.
• Integrate Camunda components with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
• Configure SSO through Camunda Identity using OIDC or OAuth 2.0.
• Tune Zeebe broker and JVM settings.
• Support P1/P2 incidents and investigate platform failures.
• Perform root cause analysis and maintain operational runbooks.

What you'll need

• 5+ years in platform engineering, middleware administration, or infrastructure SRE.
• 3+ years administering Camunda 8.x self-managed components.
• Strong Kubernetes and Helm skills, including EKS, scheduling, quotas, and PVCs.
• Solid AWS experience with EKS, ALB, Route53, ACM, S3, IAM/IRSA, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, and MSK.
• Experience provisioning AWS infrastructure with Terraform.
• Proficiency operating Elasticsearch or OpenSearch clusters.
• Hands-on Prometheus, Grafana, and Bash or Python scripting experience.

Nice to have

• Camunda Certified Engineer certification.
• Camunda 7 to 8 migration experience.
• Keycloak administration experience.
• Camunda Optimize configuration and report-authoring experience.
• AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
