Overview

Software Engineering Lead Analyst in Evernorth’s Data and Analytics organization, working on telemetry and observability platform initiatives.

What you'll do

• Design and implement custom OpenTelemetry processors and extensions in Go.
• Build and maintain RESTful API proxy services with Swagger documentation.
• Architect high-availability OpenTelemetry collector deployments on AWS ECS Fargate.
• Implement telemetry processing logic such as sampling, filtering, enrichment, and routing.
• Maintain collector cluster infrastructure using Terraform.
• Optimize collector performance, memory usage, and throughput.
• Create documentation and developer tooling for observability adoption.

What you'll need

• 5–8 years of relevant data engineering experience.
• Expert-level Go development for OpenTelemetry collector components and concurrent processing.
• Deep understanding of collector pipelines and receiver/processor/exporter patterns.
• RESTful service design experience with OpenAPI/Swagger documentation and auth mechanisms.
• AWS ECS Fargate, Network Load Balancers, Route 53, and security groups experience.
• Terraform expertise for cloud resource provisioning and configuration management.
• Experience with Docker, container optimization, and multi-stage builds.
