Engineer II, Systems Software Engineering

Overview

Engineer II role focused on systems software engineering using software and systems engineering methods to support development, integration, testing, or support work.

What you'll do

• Apply software and systems engineering methods, tools, and standards to deliver moderately complex to complex work.
• Analyze requirements, dependencies, and variable factors to determine task approach and evaluate tradeoffs.
• Communicate technical status, risks, issues, and implications within and across partner teams.
• Coordinate assigned work independently within defined objectives and guardrails to meet commitments and timelines.
• Guide peers at the task level through reviews and sharing templates, examples, or how-to support.
• Improve tools, processes, or team practices to reduce rework and strengthen reliability.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, systems engineering, information technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Use software and systems engineering methods, tools, and standards for development/configuration/integration/testing/support.
• Ability to analyze requirements and variable factors to support reliable delivery across one or more projects.
• Ability to communicate technical status, risks, issues, and implications to align execution.
• Ability to coordinate work independently within defined objectives and guardrails.
