Engineer III, Electrical

Overview

Engineer III (Electrical/Embedded) to support sustaining engineering, VAVE, and lifecycle management for KingFisher sample preparation systems and detection instruments in Hyderabad.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and support electrical circuits, PCBAs, and embedded systems (firmware interfaces, microcontrollers, communication protocols).
• Own electrical/embedded subsystems or modules, including implementation and verification.
• Debug and troubleshoot electrical and embedded issues at board and system levels.
• Execute sustaining activities such as issue resolution, ECO implementation, and component obsolescence management.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for field and production issues.
• Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities within electrical and embedded designs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support system integration, verification, interface development, and test planning.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical or embedded engineering.
• Experience with PCB design, circuit analysis, and embedded systems development.
• Strong skills in debugging and root cause analysis with hands-on problem solving.
• Experience working in cross-functional engineering environments.

Nice to have

• Embedded firmware development experience (C/C++, RTOS, I2C/SPI/UART).
• Experience with life sciences or analytical instrumentation.
• Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and cost optimization.
• Experience with lab equipment, test methods, and validation processes.
• Exposure to regulated product development environments.
