Engineer III, System Validation Test

Overview

Engineer III role focused on system/network validation testing across Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, multicast, and advanced IP services.

What you'll do

• Design and configure network topologies based on customer requirements.
• Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, LACP, and spanning tree variants.
• Implement redundancy and multicast optimization using MLAG/vPC and IGMP Snooping.
• Configure and maintain VRRP, OSPF, BGP, and multicast protocols like IGMP and PIM-SM.
• Manage DNS, NTP, and DHCP services and configure AAA with TACACS+ and RADIUS.
• Use SNMP plus CLI/SNMP/UI workflows for monitoring and management across vendor platforms.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols.
• Proficiency in multicast protocols and IP services.
• Experience with multiple vendor switches including Cisco, Netgear, and Juniper.
• Skilled in CLI, SNMP, and UI-based configuration.
• Good understanding of PTP and AVB protocols.
• Ability to design and implement complex network topologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
• Experience in AV over IP environments.
• Familiarity with network automation tools.
