Overview
Engineer for SSD Validation, supporting Micron’s client SSD development and validation process.
What you'll do
- Review and challenge test plans, coverage, and validation activities to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Develop validation approaches to increase end-to-end coverage and testing accuracy.
- Analyze product requirements and define test cases for functional and non-functional compliance.
- Define PASS/FAIL criteria, including by number of cycles, statistical measures, and temperature.
- Plan test schedules/strategies aligned to project scope and delivery dates.
- Design and implement validation test automation strategies and software architecture.
- Execute validation flows, analyze results (including bin Pareto reports), and manage defects to closure.
What you'll need
- 3+ years of validation experience.
- BS or equivalent experience in an engineering subject area.
- Deep knowledge of PCIe SSDs, NAND, memory storage hierarchy, and NVMe protocol.
- Strong Python scripting experience.
- Ability to analyze problems, diagnose root cause, and apply corrective actions.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding techniques to improve efficiency and automate design/analysis workflows.
