Engineer, SSD Validation

Overview

Engineer for SSD Validation, supporting Micron’s client SSD development and validation process.

What you'll do

• Review and challenge test plans, coverage, and validation activities to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
• Develop validation approaches to increase end-to-end coverage and testing accuracy.
• Analyze product requirements and define test cases for functional and non-functional compliance.
• Define PASS/FAIL criteria, including by number of cycles, statistical measures, and temperature.
• Plan test schedules/strategies aligned to project scope and delivery dates.
• Design and implement validation test automation strategies and software architecture.
• Execute validation flows, analyze results (including bin Pareto reports), and manage defects to closure.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of validation experience.
• BS or equivalent experience in an engineering subject area.
• Deep knowledge of PCIe SSDs, NAND, memory storage hierarchy, and NVMe protocol.
• Strong Python scripting experience.
• Ability to analyze problems, diagnose root cause, and apply corrective actions.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding techniques to improve efficiency and automate design/analysis workflows.
