High Speed IO Validation Engineer

Overview

Validate and debug high-speed SERDES interfaces across silicon, boards, firmware, and drivers. The role covers PCIe, Ethernet, USB3, and UFS interfaces for GPUs, CPUs, and SoCs.

What you'll do

• Execute electrical validation for PCIe, Ethernet, USB3, and UFS interfaces.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on firmware, drivers, circuit design, and development.
• Analyze and resolve high-speed IO and SERDES bugs.
• Use DSOs, BERTs, and protocol analyzers to validate interfaces.
• Develop test and debug programs with Perl and Python.
• Apply AI-assisted workflows and data analytics to improve validation and debugging.

What you'll need

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• BS or MS in Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• High-speed/SERDES electrical validation and tuning experience.
• Strong signal and power integrity fundamentals, including S-parameters, eye diagrams, jitter, crosstalk, return loss, and PDN noise.
• Expertise validating PCIe or similar protocols with DSOs, BERTs, and protocol analyzers.
• Scripting skills in Perl and Python.
• Experience building AI solutions, workflows, or automation frameworks for electrical and silicon validation.
