Software Quality Engineer II (V&V)

Overview

Software Quality Engineer (V&V) supporting verification and validation for enterprise clinical software products in an Agile environment.

What you'll do

• Participate in software testing activities including test review, test execution, and test witnessing.
• Review PRDs, functional specifications, and test plans to support test scoping and planning.
• Execute test cases, document results, and report defects and issues.
• Collaborate with software engineers to investigate and resolve defects found during testing.
• Analyze requirements to identify gaps, edge cases, and risk areas.
• Support test planning by identifying dependencies, risks, and required test coverage.
• Read, understand, and make small modifications to testing scripts (e.g., Python, JavaScript).

What you'll need

• 3-5 years of experience in enterprise software testing or quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience with manual testing concepts including test cases, scenarios, and defect life cycle.
• Familiarity with manual and automated testing tools.
• Basic understanding of databases and ability to write SQL select queries.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.

Details

• Hybrid role with regular onsite collaboration with the Software Quality Engineering team in Bangalore (3–4 days per week on-site).
• Location: Bangalore, India.
