V&V Sr. Engineer

Overview

V&V Senior Engineer responsible for planning, executing, and improving software and system testing across functional, API, database, automated, integration, and end-to-end testing activities.

What you'll do

• Develop functional test specifications for device, subsystem, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Plan, estimate, execute, and manage testing activities across the software and system lifecycle.
• Perform API testing and validate requests, responses, integrations, and system behavior.
• Write SQL queries for database testing, data validation, backend verification, and troubleshooting.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automated test scripts using Playwright or comparable tools.
• Document results, report defects, and support defect resolution with development and engineering teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide testing guidance, training, and knowledge-sharing materials.

What you'll need

• Five or more years of hands-on software or system testing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
• Strong experience in functional test planning, estimation, effort calculation, and task sizing.
• Hands-on API testing experience, including request, response, integration, and system validation.
• Strong SQL skills for database testing and data validation.
• Experience with automated test script development, execution, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working in Agile development teams and using test and defect management practices.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers.
• Experience testing Microsoft Dynamics CRM and related business processes.
• Experience with device or system testing, reliability testing, or customer-facing testing.
• Experience contributing to test framework development or automation strategy.
