R&D Test Engineer

Overview

Software Test Engineer in ABB's Traction Division, supporting embedded software migration, customer project customization, type testing, and system validation for auxiliary power conversion systems.

What you'll do

• Analyze test requirements and perform manual testing.
• Develop Python test automation code.
• Maintain test defect logs for products and releases.
• Prepare use cases, test cases, test plans, and release test descriptions.
• Execute functional, system, integration, and release testing.
• Maintain the test environment and laboratory.
• Resolve customer-specific product issues and complaints.

What you'll need

• Minimum 3 years of software testing experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience executing manual test cases.
• Python test automation experience.
• Knowledge of TestComplete Automation Tool.
• Understanding of requirements management, code management, CI/CD, and testing phases.
• Understanding of test automation strategy and process.
