ASIA SSC IT Network Engineer

Overview

Maintain and improve enterprise network infrastructure for the Asian IT SSC, supporting reliable connectivity, security, monitoring, incident response, and network projects.

What you'll do

• Implement and maintain LAN, wireless, routing, switching, VLAN, and network segmentation infrastructure.
• Configure and support Cisco, HPE Aruba, and FortiGate network environments.
• Monitor network availability, performance, bandwidth, latency, packet loss, and connectivity.
• Troubleshoot network, wireless, firewall, VPN, routing, switching, and performance incidents.
• Plan and execute network changes with testing, validation, rollback, and documentation.
• Maintain network diagrams, IP, VLAN, routing, firewall, device, and operational documentation.
• Coordinate technical cases and escalations with network equipment and service providers.

What you'll need

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on network engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN, STP, routing, and switching.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches.
• Hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls and IPSec and SSL VPN technologies.
• Working knowledge of OSPF and BGP routing protocols.
• Experience with network troubleshooting, incident response, monitoring tools, and packet-level analysis.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, communicate, and document effectively.

Nice to have

• Experience with HPE Aruba wireless or network infrastructure.
• Experience with Wireshark, enterprise or manufacturing environments, or production networks.
• CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet, HPE Aruba, or ITIL/ITSM knowledge or certification.
• Experience with network automation or scripting.
