Overview
Engineer - Network Security works as a Security Consultant, assessing and implementing security measures to protect organizations from evolving threats and safeguard sensitive data.
What you'll do
- Assess and analyze customer security posture and requirements.
- Design and implement security controls, policies, and procedures.
- Deploy security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, access controls, and encryption.
- Conduct security and risk assessments and produce findings for audits and reviews.
- Collaborate with clients, and also with customers and vendors, on security assessments, audits, and due diligence.
- Stay updated on security threats, technologies, and best practices to recommend improvements.
What you'll need
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in information security consulting and implementation.
- Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies.
- Experience managing risks to reduce impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Experience conducting security and risk assessments using security frameworks such as NIST, RMF, and Common Criteria.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to adapt to changing security threats and technologies and stay updated on trends and best practices.
Nice to have
- Experience assisting stakeholders in quantifying risks and developing mitigation/remediation strategies.
- Understanding and application of NIST Control Framework and Critical Security Controls and other compliance frameworks.
- Experience with cloud security, cyber resiliency/incident management, Zero Trust, network/EDGE security, and emerging technologies such as IoT and AI.
