Engineer- python/Devops/CI/CD

Overview

Engineer role focused on Python programming and DevOps, building and automating CI/CD pipelines and build systems to improve project deliverables.

What you'll do

• Improve CI/CD tools integration and operations, and fully automate CI and testing.
• Develop and enhance build systems such as cmake, make or ninja for Linux, Windows and Android platforms.
• Implement and manage version control systems, build automation tools, configuration management systems and deployment pipelines to streamline software delivery.
• Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide the team towards best practices.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization's overall DevOps strategy.
• Troubleshoot issues along the CI/CD pipeline.
• Write automations wherever applicable to minimize cost and time.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3-6 years of IT-relevant work experience in DevOps.
• Must be good enough to write Python scripts for any given requirements.
• Expertise in build systems (cmake, make, ninja), with a solid understanding of one build environment (Linux/Windows/Android).
• Excellent work experience with a code repository system, preferably GitHub or Gerrit.
• Excellent work experience with Jenkins for enabling CI/CD.
• Ability to convert existing freestyle pipelines to Groovy or another script.
• Good communication skills and sound analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Must and should have work experience creating Docker images and containers and troubleshooting them.
