Engineer Quality

Overview

Install, configure, commission and troubleshoot building automation and control systems, working with customers, contractors and internal teams to deliver successful project execution and system performance.

What you'll do

• Install complex field devices and control system components in accordance with project requirements and engineering specifications.
• Perform system configuration, startup, testing and commissioning using standard JCI tools and processes.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve system, hardware, software and network-related issues.
• Respond to warranty service calls and provide timely resolution to customer concerns.
• Verify system performance and ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to installation, commissioning and service activities.
• Coordinate effectively with project teams, subcontractors and customers regarding project status, progress and any issues requiring attention.
• Adhere to company safety policies, procedures and industry standards while executing field activities.

What you'll need

• Associate degree / Diploma (2-year degree) in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and servicing of Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC Controls, Fire & Security Systems or related automation solutions.
• Strong understanding of control systems, field devices, sensors, actuators and system integration.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and project documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-service skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Johnson Controls Metasys or other Building Automation Systems.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and system integration protocols such as BACnet, Modbus or N2.
• Experience in customer-facing field service environments.
