Engineer - Safety & Reliability

Overview

Reliability and Safety Engineer role for Eaton’s Aerospace business (Center for Reliability & Safety) based in Pune, India.

What you'll do

• Deliver RMS work packages across multiple NPI/Sustaining Engineering projects for Aerospace Fluid Motion Controls (FMC) product lines while protecting schedules.
• Influence design with novel ideas to mitigate reliability and safety risks and optimize product performance.
• Conduct reliability life testing using internal labs and external agencies as needed.
• Create and/or revise reliability and safety deliverables (e.g., FHA/SFHA, PSSA/SSA, FMEA/FMECA, FTA, HALT, RDT).
• Work with cross-functional and global reliability teams to design reliability into NPI programs and improvements.
• Plan and execute project milestones, manage hours, conduct deliverable reviews, and communicate with stakeholders with technical mentoring.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering.
• Awareness of reliability/safety standards including MIL-STD-1629 and SAE ARP 4761 (among others listed).
• Skills in reliability statistics, FTA/FMEA, 8D, and developing/analyzing component failure rates.
• Knowledge of FRACAS and reducing field/warranty data into life and failure rate information.
• Experience/knowledge of reliability analysis tools such as RAM Commander/Reliasoft/Sherlock (preferred).
• Ability to plan, organize, and measure processes to complete work.
